Nukes return to Fallout 76 after an explosion-free new year

Fallout 76 has had some problems along the way (including data leaks, and unwanted immortality), but the latest bug to hit Bethesda’s online sandbox spinoff was arguably an improvement. Yesterday, January 1st, players discovered that their nuclear launch codes just weren’t working. For a brief day and a half, nobody was suddenly exploded into a cloud of radioactive loot-enhanced particles. Sadly, Bethesda have since announced on Twitter that the game has been patched, and mutually assured destruction through nuclear weapons is on the menu once more.
