New video games, we know, invalidate old video games. GOG were chancing their luck when they launched selling only old games (even proudly advertising that with the name Good Old Games!) but thankfully saw the light. Who’d play a game from 1994 when you can play the Early Access spiritual successor to the reboot of that game’s sequel? A mug, that’s who.
With E3 and its flood of announcements now only two weeks away, current games will soon become old and old games will become decrepit. Wisely, GOG have chosen now to launch their big summer sale and shift a bunch of soon-to-be obsolete games.
