The bounty hunters and mercenaries in the newer Assassin’s Creed games are more than just a regular enemy. They can turn up in the most inopportune moments, usually in the middle of a quest or looting a particular location, to relentlessly hunt you down. If left unchecked, they can put a spanner in the works, setting you back a fair bit if you should perish by their hand. They’re a lot tougher than the regular soldiers and particularly in the early game can prove to be more than just a nuisance.
