Dishonored 2 demo coming this week

A demo for Dishonored 2 [official site] would’ve been more useful five months ago, back when people had no way to know without buying the game whether its initial performance problems would strike them. Still, a demo coming this Thursday will give a welcome look at the first three missions of Arkane’s first-person supernatural stealth game. That’s a good chunk of sneaking from a good game. … [visit site to read more]

Have You Played… Bubble Bobble?

Have You Played? is an endless stream of game retrospectives. One a day, every day of the year, perhaps for all time.

It’s sad to see what’s happened to Bubble Bobble in recent years, whether it’s the descent into match-3 blandness, or the absolutely atrocious remakes that farted their way onto Nintendo DS. But the original was a wonder, released in 1986 and since ported to every platform ever. … [visit site to read more]

Taking place within the same universe as their Saints Row series, Agents of Mayhem [official site] has the same irreverent humour, and this time is poking fun at superhero groups. … [visit site to read more]

New vehicles stomp, roll, and hover into Brigador

A new update and a sale is news exciting enough for a game as fun as Brigador [official site], but this is just a teaser for more to come. Brigador developers Stellar Jockeys have announced that they’ll “re-launch” the isometric tactical mech action game in June with a big update that’ll add a new intro campaign along with even more vehicles and more. Even at launch, in June 2016, it was good stuff — read Wot Alec Thought — so this is all great news. … [visit site to read more]
