The ‘snake’ part of Snakebird [official site] is pretty clear: you control winding wormoids who grow and loop and get themselves into awkward situations. What does the ‘bird’ bring to the table? Does one then launch these snakebirds at castles to crush lizardpigs? Do you spin them off into oodles of licensed tie-ins and merchandise deals? (Actually, kids would probably love snakebird cuddly toys.) Nah, as far as I can tell, the ‘bird’ is simply because they have beaks and make silly bird noises. Good-o!
Snakebird’s a newly-announced puzzler by Nimbus developers Noumenon Games, which is coming out in a fortnight. Come see in a trailer.
